November is National Family Caregivers Month
Speak Up - For Yourself. For Your Loved Ones. For All Caregivers.

November is National Family Caregivers Month and this year’s theme is “Speak Up” because when caregivers speak up The ALS Association is there to listen and make their lives as easy as possible.

As part of National Family Caregivers Month, The ALS Association is recognizing some of the thousands of local primary caregivers critical to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with ALS.  The daily challenges faced by caregivers are detailed in a series of profiles. You can read these touching stories in the Get Inspired section.

The Association has also assembled a set of online presentations designed specifically for caregivers who provide attention and care to people living with ALS. During the informative and practical presentations, experts from their respective fields share experiences and offer tips and support. These webinars can be accessed below under “related links.”

Caregivers increasingly include the husbands, wives and, in some cases, the children of military veterans with ALS. That is because military veterans are approximately twice as likely to develop ALS as the general public. As Veterans Day approaches on November 11, The ALS Association will show our support for our nation’s veterans and their caregivers with related articles and videos. Check back often for more veteran resources in the “related links” section below.

This month, you can also show your support for caregivers by Sending an eCard and say “thank you” to a caregiver that has touched your life. If you would like to support the work of The ALS Association, including our crucial patient services programs, please make a generous donation.

Thank you for participating in National Family Caregivers Month.
